Arts Blog: SMU Dance to Put On Meaningful Performance

December 5, 2009

SMU dancers will perform their annual Sharp Show this weekend.

The show is produced and choreographed by the senior class.

This year’s show is entitled “No Apologies,” because it symbolizes dancers’ hang-ups they have about their bodies. Thus the show is a liberation of those hang-ups.

Some pieces are about love, others are about divorce, and some have even deeper meanings.

Sharp show takes place in the Sharp Studio in the basement of the Owen Fine Arts Building.

The show is free and first come, first serve on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. This is a popular series so I suggest you get their early to get a good seat.
