It was a huge weekend as we traveled down to Houston with another chance to reclaim the first place crown in Conference USA, yet it became a sour but sweet trip. We faced the No. 3 team, Houston, which defeated us with two seconds left to drop us out of first place.

I am still bitter from the loss because of my costly turnovers in the final three minutes of the game. Even though we never took ourselves out of the game, I had the chance to redeem our team. But we fell short when I overthrew the ball to teammate Haley Day for the last-second alley-oop. I was disappointed.

My teammates and I did not want to end the road trip with two losses, so we put together an impressive win over Rice on television and ended up sliding back into first, thanks to Tulsa defeating Houston. Whew! I feel so much better. I can sleep now.
