Global News Blog: Mayans and Mexico thoughts on 2012

The Ancient Mayan ruins can be found in throughout Mexico and as a result, many Mexicans believe in what the Mayans said. The Mayan calendar ends December 21, 2012 and therefore many people believe the world will end on that date. Although no one on the planet can know for sure, Mexicans tend to believe this prophesy, because of the Mayan presence in Mexico.

The movie 2012 has created a lot of controversy within the Mexican borders. Many opinions articles against it, and why they believe in the prophesy have been told. Personally I don’t know what to think. I can see both sides to the argument. I hope the world doesn’t end because I feel like I have many more things to accomplish. Do you believe in this prophesy?
