Arts Beat: DIFFA Dallas Utopian Collection Raises Money

Most people have an idea in their minds of how life in an Utopian world would be like.
Organizers of Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS Dallas annual benefit do as well. For they have named their 20th-anniversary collection: Utopia. According to organizers a Utopian world is one where HIV and AIDS do not exist. Most Americans would agree with this.

The event, which will take place May 2 at the Hilton Anatole, includes a dinner, live and silent auctions and a one-of-a-kind runway show. During the event, which is internationally-known Arizona Jeans’ jackets from JcPenny that have been designed by local and national designers will be auctioned off to raise money.

Proceeds from the event benefits AIDS service organizations. To date the organization has donated more than $4 million to organizations in the North Texas region.
